Friendly International Relations,
Investment Opportunities and
Strengthening Diaspora Ties
It is critical that we use our international
relations and diplomatic offices to
conduct traditional foreign affairs and
represent and promote local businesses
abroad, while seeking markets and
partnerships for them.
We will:
Use the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to
create and access trade and investment
opportunities using our diplomatic tools
to engage with international markets and
support Vincentian businesses seeking to
export their products and services.
Deepen links to the diaspora by creating
and developing our outreach facilities in key
nations and cities.
Diligently review and actively pursue the
provisions of the Economic Partnership
Agreement with the European Union, to
secure the benefits associated with the
trade in goods and services.
Broaden and deepen diplomatic relations
with existing countries, and build on
historic ties to seek and unlock new
opportunities from our relations with the
United Kingdom.
Support and encourage the peaceful
resolution of international disputes and
diligently participate in the fight against
terrorism, drug trafficking, human trafficking
and money laundering.
Actively support greater economic
integration in Caricom and the OECS.
Remain committed to the rule of
international law, national sovereignty,
territorial integrity and the peaceful
resolution of disputes in the world, and
to promote peace and harmony among
nations through multilateral agencies,
most importantly the United Nations, and
country to country dialogue.
Establish closer ties with the Garifuna
community around the world - fortifying our
historic ties with deeper economic, cultural
and social relations.
Review our international partnerships to
ensure we are fostering the best possible
environment to create jobs and bring
investment into our country, including
through a Citizenship by Investment
programme well-regulated by the ECCB.
TOGETHER WE WIN!
