We know that physical transport
infrastructure will play a critical role in
unleashing the economic potential of
our country.
With climate change posing an
increasing risk and cost of living
pressures, affordable housing is now
an urgent national project that must
be treated as central to social and
economic progress.
We will:
Initiate a rolling road building and
maintenance programme to stop the onagain off-again approach to ensure our
roads never get into the dire state they’re
in now.
Create a national state supported ferry
service linking North Leeward and North
Windward, to connect our country and
open communities for economic and social
growth.
Establish a national programme to
improve wharfs, ports and jetties to
support tourism and fisherfolk.
We will:
Build more affordable housing across all
areas of the country.
Create a National Housing Recovery and
Resilience Fund to underwrite the costs of
reconstruction and retrofitting to improve
resilience. Prioritisation of low-interest
loans and targeted grants for the most
vulnerable.
Explore modular construction methods
that are quicker, scalable and more costeffective than traditional builds.
Modernise building guidelines so more
builds are climate and hazard resistant.
