Regarding Ottley Hall Marina
Repair and upgrade the Ottley Hall Marina
and Shipyard to provide service to local and
foreign boat owners and create high paying
jobs.
Projects of climate resilient fishing
facilities
Refurbish and modernise the facilities
at Chateaubelair, Barrouallie,
Calliaqua, Kingstown, Owia, Paget
Farm, Clifton and Canouan.
Use the Ottley Hall Marina and Shipyard to
provide hands-on training in technical and
vocational education programmes.
Expand jetties and boat ramps.
Generate and support other businesses as
spin-offs from a thriving Ottley Hall Marina
and Shipyard creating additional jobs.
Construct category 5 hurricane safestorage facilities to store boat engines,
and other equipment.
Regarding yachting
Establish a maritime training institute to
certify seafarers and enable them to obtain
employment on ships here and abroad.
Provide targeted duty-free concessions to
yacht owners and remodel the yacht fees to
attract more yachts to our shores.
Provide enhanced security in our harbour
and bays to prevent break-ins and other
crimes against yachties.
Construct an eco-friendly marina at
Cumberland Bay to attract yachties
and make North Leeward a key yachting
destination.
Improve facilities in Lowman’s Bay
including washrooms and boat ramps.
Construct a jetty and washroom facility
at Clare Valley.
Revitalise international sailing regattas
and support local regattas in Bequia,
Mayreau and Canouan, and establish a kite
surfing regatta in Union Island.
Build climate resilient infrastructure to
protect fishers’ investments and support the
fishing industry.
